Last updated: 9 June 2026
These terms govern your use of this website. Please read them carefully before browsing or getting in touch.
1. Introduction and acceptance
This is the personal portfolio website of Jessica Beesly, a graphic designer, illustrator and photographer working as an individual (sole trader) in the United Kingdom. Throughout these Terms of Use, "I", "me" and "my" refer to Jessica Beesly, and "you" and "your" refer to you, the visitor. The website is published at https://jessicabeesly.co.uk/ and is referred to below as "this website" or "the Site".
By accessing or using this website, you confirm that you accept these Terms of Use and that you agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site.
I may update these terms from time to time, as explained in the "Changes to these terms" section below. Please check back occasionally so that you are aware of any changes.
2. About this website
This website is a personal portfolio. Its purpose is to showcase a selection of my work across graphic design, illustration, photography and game art, to tell you a little about me, and to let you get in touch if you would like to.
The Site is provided for general information only. There is no online shop, no booking or contact form, and no user accounts to register for. If you would like to discuss a project, ask a question or request permission to use any of my work, you are welcome to contact me by email (the address is on the contact page) or through the social media profiles linked from the Site.
3. Intellectual property
All content on this website (including the text, layout, design, code, graphics, illustrations, photographs and other materials) is owned by or licensed to me and is protected by copyright, design rights, trade marks and other intellectual property laws in the United Kingdom and internationally. Unless stated otherwise, all such content is © Jessica Beesly.
Client and commissioned work
Some of the pieces shown in my portfolio are client or commissioned projects, displayed here for demonstration purposes to illustrate the kind of work I do. The intellectual property and trade marks in those projects, including the brands, logos and other branding they contain (for example, the branding of a client photography studio), remain the property of the respective clients or owners. Such work is shown with permission to showcase my involvement, and nothing on this website transfers any rights in it to you or grants you any licence to use those third-party brands or materials.
4. Use of the website
You may view and use this website for your own personal, non-commercial reference. Except as expressly permitted by these terms or by applicable law, you must not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, adapt or commercially exploit any content from the Site without my prior written permission.
You also agree that you will not misuse the Site. In particular, you must not:
- use the Site in any way that breaches any applicable local, national or international law or regulation;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, the server on which it is stored, or any server, computer or database connected to it;
- introduce any viruses, trojans, worms, malware or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful;
- attempt to disrupt, interfere with or damage the Site or the experience of other visitors; or
- scrape, harvest or otherwise extract content from the Site unlawfully or for commercial purposes without permission.
5. Permission and licensing
If you would like to license or otherwise use any of the work shown on this website, or you are not sure whether a particular use is allowed, please ask. Permission requests and licensing enquiries are welcome and can be sent to me by email at babiastudios@gmail.com. Any permission I give will be in writing and limited to the use I agree to.
6. No warranties
This website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis for general information. While I take care to keep the Site accurate and up to date, I do not warrant or guarantee that the Site or its content will always be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, secure or free from errors, or that the Site will be available at any particular time. Any reliance you place on the content of the Site is at your own risk.
7. External links
This website may contain links to third-party websites and resources, such as my social media profiles. These links are provided for your convenience only. I have no control over the content, products, services or practices of those third-party sites and accept no responsibility for them, or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them. A link from this website does not imply that I endorse the linked site.
8. Limitation of liability
So far as permitted by law, I will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, this website or your reliance on any content on it.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits my liability for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales.
9. Privacy and cookies
Your use of this website is also governed by my Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. It explains how I handle any personal information, and it describes the consent banner you see on your first visit, what is stored on your device and how the Site's typefaces are served.
